CCRC opened its own Cafe in 1985 to provide breakfast and lunch for the staff and the consumers we serve. The restaurant is really big with 2 separate indoor areas with a large patio in the middle. Cafe Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm. It’s also a fun spot to kick back and people watch. Cafe Coyote is one of the best spots in Old Town to grab a margarita, snack on appetizers and feast on tacos. Relax and enjoy the ambiance as your Margarita is prepared by our Master Bartenders. The tortillas are served with butter and salsa and are oh so delicious! I had to get one before leaving.Īnd last but not least we had another round of margaritas. Any time I go to Old Town with my mom we stop by the outdoor fresh tortilla stand. My favorite part of Cafe Coyote is also a family tradition. The carnitas was really tender and tasted like it had marinated in its juices for a while. We both agreed that the carnitas was by far the best. We wanted to get a good taste of the tacos so we tried the lobster, carne asada and the carnitas. ![]() The cocktail is served with chunks of avocado on top and surrounded by chips. It isn’t too spicy and the flavors are right on. The cocktail de camaron (shrimp cocktail) was really flavorful. My favorite was the super creamy and slightly spicy cheese sauce. The dips and chips platter is great for a group stopping in for drinks and nibbles. The appetizer is a platter of nachos served with a couple salsas, white cheese sauce and guacamole. We tried the dips and chips while we decided on what to order. I also tasted the coconut pina margarita which was super refreshing and delicious. I tried a really tasty pear margarita off the special menu – a must try. ![]() We happened to stop in on Mother’s Day weekend so they had a special menu to go along with their regular menu for Dia De Las Madres. We had to try a few dishes to get a good feel for the food too. We stopped in Cafe Coyote for an ice cold margarita during our stay. Mark and I headed to Cafe Coyote in Old Town San Diego when we stayed at the Hacienda for our 5 year anniversary. ![]()
